Ik ben Nathaly
I am a multicultural and multidisciplinary artist, specialized in fashion design, textile design and art education/ workshops. Born in Colombia and raised on the tropical island Aruba. In the summer of 2012 I moved to Holland to pursue my creative studies. In July 2017 I obtained my Bachelor degree as a fashion designer at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy Amsterdam with my graduation collection titled “Meet me at the end”.
The play between materials, sustainability, heritage and craftsmanship are important elements in my work. By experimenting with textures, techniques, materials, color, constructions and the relation they have with each other, I create pieces that move me.
In april 2021 i graduated as a Pedagogical Assitant. Since then i have been creating and facilitating creative workshops for children of different ages.
In October 2021 I established INNERWAVE creative studio by Nathaly Vlaun. Innerwave stands for the creative energy that flows through all of us. It is a creative practice where I aim to reconnect with myself as a multidimensional being and artist. It is the platform I have chosen to explore my creative energy, to dive into my ancestry and all my fascinations with the body and with the almost forgotten tribal knowledge. It is a place were I aim to weave together all my spiritual practices and fascinations. I want to bring light and new loving universal energies to this world through my art and my services.
With INNERWAVE I aim to express my full potential as a human being, through the creative energy that flows through me. I aim to; -experience and share with others all the healing abilities and magic of being creative, -the magic of making things with our own hands -and I wish to empower myself and others through art/ creativity.
Ik ben een multiculturele en multidisciplinaire kunstenaar, gespecialiseerd in modeontwerp, textielontwerp en kunsteducatie/workshops. Geboren in Colombia en opgegroeid op het tropische eiland Aruba. In de zomer van 2012 ben ik naar Nederland verhuisd. In juli 2017 behaalde ik mijn Bachelor diploma als modeontwerper aan de Gerrit Rietveld Academie Amsterdam met mijn afstudeercollectie getiteld “Meet me at the end”.
Het spel tussen materialen, duurzaamheid, erfgoed en vakmanschap zijn belangrijke elementen in mijn werk. Door te experimenteren met texturen, technieken, materialen, kleuren, constructies en de relatie die ze met elkaar hebben, creëer ik stukken die me ontroeren.
In april 2021 ben ik afgestudeerd als Pedagogisch Medewerker. Sindsdien creëer en faciliteer ik creatieve workshops voor kinderen van verschillende leeftijden.
In oktober 2021 heb ik INNERWAVE creative studio by Nathaly Vlaun opgericht. Innerwave staat voor de creatieve energie die door ons allemaal stroomt. Het is een creatieve praktijk waarbij ik ernaar streef om opnieuw contact te maken met mezelf als een multidimensionaal wezen en artiest. Het is het platform dat ik heb gekozen om mijn creatieve energie te verkennen, om in mijn afkomst en al mijn fascinaties voor het lichaam en met de bijna vergeten tribale kennis te duiken. Het is een plek waar ik ernaar streef om al mijn spirituele oefeningen en fascinaties samen te weven. Ik wil licht en nieuwe liefdevolle universele energieën naar deze wereld brengen door middel van mijn kunst en mijn diensten. Met INNERWAVE wil ik mijn volledige potentieel als mens tot uitdrukking brengen, door de creatieve energie die door mij heen stroomt. Ik streef ernaar om; -alle genezende vermogens en magie van creatief bezig zijn en het kracht van met onze eigen handen dingen maken zelf te ervaren en met anderen te delen.
